A while back, we learned that God wants us to look our best. The woman of noble character in Proverbs "is clothed in fine linen and purple" (Proverbs 31:22) and the people in her household "all of them are clothed in scarlet" (verse 21).
But you gotta remember that "BEST" in God's eyes is different for everyone. God created each and every person -- that means YOU! -- to be uniquely beautiful. So, obviously, God's makeover for your wardrobe is unique too! Get this: God knows exactly what colors you look good in. He knows what style looks good on you, and what modesty standards you need to go by (more on this later). So, basically, God's got you covered. God has it all under control.
See, God is directly telling you that you need to trust Him in every aspect of your life -- even your wardrobe!"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow.
They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you not even Solomon in all his spelndor
was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the
field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not
much more clothe you, O you of little faith?" - God, in Matthew 6:28-30
So, does it make sense now to dress the same as everybody else? True, it feels good to fit in with the crowd. But honestly, it feels even better to stand out! Find your own unique style that God has given you, and work it! You're probably at an age where it's time for learning what makes you YOU (that's YOU-nique). God is so creative. I mean, c'mon, He INVENTED clothes for Pete's sake! Not even Prada can own up to that!
We'll go even deeper on this later, but I want you to chew on this and give me some feedback.
