Did you know that your dad can help you with your fashion choices? Believe it or not, it’s true. While he may not have the best sense of style in the world, your dad can be invaluable in helping you with your clothing choices. How? If he says a skirt is too short or a shirt is too low, listen to him. He’s a guy and knows exactly how teenage boy brains work. He understands what a guy will be thinking when he sees you in that new dress -- so you’d be wise to listen to his advice. Color combinations, on the other hand, are unlikely to be your father’s area of expertise.

My Dad has given me about three pieces of fashion advice in my whole life.
ReplyDeleteI remember each.
#1 nine years old. I was freaked out cos I was wearing a purple shirt with jeans that had cherry appliqués and freaking out cos they didn't match. We were going somewhere and he said:
"Jillian, jeans go with anything"
#2 recent.
"Jillian, I'm not sure I like your shirt.
You can kinda see right through it"
#3 just bought a dress for a wedding, and was modeling it. "Jillian, isn't that a bit short"
So, there you have it.
My dad has given me one piece of repeated fashion advice throughout my life:

ReplyDeleteMy Dad is the best when it comes to fashion. Believe it or not he buys all of my mom's clothes! When he says something it too tight, low or short he lets us know how to fix it. I love it!
