5 Ways to De-Stress Your Life

Are you stressed out? Sometimes the anxiety in your life can stop you from being productive. Take time to relax and refocus with these tips.

It's easy to get too caught up in your busy schedule. Sometimes you need to relax. Treat yourself to a spa night, go to bed early, listen to some positive music, or take a walk outside. Giving yourself a chance to rest will help you be more productive later. Having an organized room will help you calm down as well -- the clutter in your house can add more clutter to every aspect of your life.

Don't worry about diets, but make sure you're taking care of yourself. Your body needs the right fuel to keep going strong. Cut down on your carb, sugar, and salt intake; these foods can slow your body down and make you feel tired and irritable. Make sure you're getting enough fruits and vegetables. It might be a good idea to take a vitamin supplement -- they can give you more energy and a brighter complexion. Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night to keep you at your best. Check out this guide to eat your way to great skin (and a healthier life!). Don't forget to get fit with these fun ideas you're sure to love.

Talking to a trusted friend will help you unwind and sort things out. If you're dealing with something serious, talk to your parents, your youth pastor, or another adult you trust.

If you're facing a tough decision, list out the pros and cons of each choice. If you're stressed with your workload, take things one at a time. Don't think about the second task until you've completed the first. You'll get more done and spend less time worrying.

Sometimes the only thing you can do is pray. It's the most powerful thing you can do. Take 10-20 minutes out of your day to talk to God about how you feel and what's going on in your life. Listen to Christian music to stay positive (Tenth Avenue North is awesome). Read the Bible and look for passages that relate to your situation. You can also share prayer requests on the GFG blog.

Whether you're dealing with change, looking for new ways to connect with God, or just need some encouragement, this blog is here to give you a little inspiration and advice whenever you need it. Check out the what to do when page to find more advice.
