How to Wear Rompers

Fashion trends come and go, and some are trickier than others to pull off. Rompers fall into this category. Why? Worn on the wrong figure, they can be unflattering. It's also hard to find a modest romper. On a positive note, rompers take the guess work out of pairing the perfect top with shorts. Should you try this trend? GFG is here to help you decide.

What are rompers, and why are they often immodest?

Rompers are mini pantsuits that do the work of creating a perfect outfit for you, almost like a shirt and a pair of shorts sewn together. Rompers typically feature short shorts that expose a lot of leg, as well as skimpy tops with inadequate covering for your arms, chest, and shoulders. Each girl's modesty is an issue between her and God, so you may feel like you shouldn't jump on this trend bandwagon at all, and that's ok. If you love this look and what to know how to make it work for you, keep reading.

What can I do to make my romper more modest?

As most rompers are short, there isn't a way to cover your legs, but you can cover your shouders by wearing a cute light cardigan over your romper. You could also try a jumpsuit or pantsuit instead -- they are like rompers, but with full-length leg coverage.

Are rompers flattering? What should I look for?

Rompers are best worn on thin girls. They're great if you have a boyish body. Curvy girls often find that rompers make them look larger than they actually are. You almost always want a drawn-in waist to avoid losing your figure. It's also a good idea to try on a romper before purchasing to make sure it covers you and flatters your body.
